Hello! ...... Hello Again!

I'm back from my blogging break - now we'll see if I can start posting again on a regular basis. Christmas was great, stressful, tiring - all the stuff the holidays are supposed to be right? By Christmas night Logan was so strung out on sugar it was a little frightening. Add that to the fact that he didn't have a real nap for those days and you have a scary-sugar-induced-little-person.

We had our first Christmas gathering on the 20th. We got together with my Dad's side of the family. We played this game. If you've never done this is it such a fun way to "exchange" gifts. We all buy small item gifts and they range from candy to cleaning products. We also have some gag gifts such as hemorrhoid cream and a "traveling enema kit". The kit has been going around now for the past four years. It's always a big laugh to see who will end up with that. It was a fun night - even if one of us chose not to attend. Guess some like to hold onto grudges. What.ever.

We had many Christmases at many places. Logan got a lot of new stuff - he's discovering new toys every day. I'm done working extra hours at the bookstore - I don't think I'll be doing that over the holidays again. It felt like I was constantly running somewhere. I have also been sick for about the last 2 1/2 weeks. I still have a stuffy nose but hopefully once that is gone I will be DONE with getting sick.

The Christmas decorations are still up but hopefully we will begin taking care of that tomorrow. Oh, and on Christmas Eve while eating dinner at my parents' house my new tooth fell off the table and broke. L-o-v-e-l-y. I'll be going to the dentist on Wednesday hoping they'll be able to repair since my super-glue job just isn't cutting it.

Blogging Break

I'm taking some time off from blogging (cuz I've been doing it so regularly). I'll be back after the holidays. I'm going to be busy all week. I'm working at the bookstore every day (including this weekend) but Thursday. I'm trying to get some baking done for Christmas. And on Thursday evening we're having Christmas with my Dad's side of the family. I've got to go grocery shopping before then so I can mix up a Broccoli Tortellini Salad and some potatoes in the crock-pot. I also have to get some little gifts since we'll be playing The Dice Game that evening too.

Hello There!

Once again I am slacking when it comes to blogging. I just haven't been in the mood to update lately and I'm working extra hours during the holiday season so I'm kind of drained when I get home. Here are a couple of updates:

-Friday afternoon Auntie came over and began painting the castle on Logan's wall. It looks great so far! Now we just need a couple of finishing touches put on it and then paint the rest of the wall and we'll be able to finally get Logan moved into his permanent room.

-We bought our Christmas tree Friday afternoon also. We have yet to decorate it though since I had to work this weekend (and Monday) and Mike was not feeling well all weekend. Hopefully we can get it done on Wednesday.

-Friday night we went to the cities Parade of Lights. It was around 0* that night (aren't you jealous Austin??), luckily though we were able to watch it from our truck with the heater on. Logan enjoyed all the floats that went by and was very happy when the people walked by and handed us candy through the window.

-I have one present to buy and then I am done Christmas shopping! Oh yeah! J

-I have been busy trying to make a couple of Christmas presents so that has also been eating up my time.

-I also started using my treadmill again. I've been trying to walk on it (about 35+ minutes) while Logan is down for a nap.

-My tooth (or lack thereof) is all healed. I never had any pain with it – thank goodness. Well, unless you count the explanation of benefits I got in the mail telling me how much we'll have to pay for this part of the implant process. Dental insurance is the worst! Most of this is viewed as cosmetic therefore the insurance doesn't cover it. This is horrible!
