5 Ingredient Friday

To Die For Crock pot Roast

1 beef roast, any kind, any size
1 pkg. Hidden Valley ranch dressing mix
1 pkg. brown gravy mix
1 pkg. Italian dressing mix
1/2 cup water or more

Place roast in crock pot. Mix all 3 envelopes together and sprinkle on top of roast. Pour 1/2 cup warm water in bottom of crock pot; cook on low for 6-7 hours.

The combination of these ingredients sound really strange but trust me the roast turns out great!! Go check out Overwhelmed with Joy! for more recipes.

I wonder who thinks of these simple things. I mean, those are three things I would NEVER have thought of. It sounds yummy though!

Sounds odd but yummy. If I can try Coca-Cola on my roast, I sure as heck can try three envelopes of stuff. Thanks for the recipe! :)

How is it that just 10 minutes after I posted that entry you were over? How does RSS notify you?

Glad you liked the lasagna - it IS easy, and the boys like it, too. Even the persnickety hubby claimed it was good. :)

Sorry the craft fair was a bust. I have a fabulous gift idea for anyone who sends lots of correspondence. (My mom-in-law sends a TON of stuff via USPS, so I'm doing this for her.) Take a photo of Logan's that you LOVE (I'm having the boys make a sigh that says "We Love Nana"), and get it made into photo postage stamps at Then, have a nice copy of the photo printed up, frame it, and give the stamps and framed photo as a gift. My mom-in-law is gonna LOVE this, and it's such a personal gift. :)

I'll email you back about the letters - I'm trying to inconspicuously gather the info from them. An innocent question here and there is sneakier and less suspicious than asking for all the info at once. ha!

You have a great Sunday, too.

I'll check into the rssreader. I tend to go to everyone's sites four and five times a day to see if they've updated (if I'm bored), and that would save me some time. I imagie people also get tired of seeing me show up and not commenting... ;)

I came up with the stamp idea last year, but I waited until too late to do it. I almost forgot about it this year, and remembered it jst this week. Am hoping to get a good photo of the boys to use. Maybe this will keep her from complaining about not giving her enough photos of the boys. Or not... *sigh*

Oh, and thanks for looking for stuff at the craft show. I'd LOVE to have a baseball mom ornament, and you can really only find stuff like that at craft fairs. Maybe I should just get off my duff and go to one, huh? I just prefer to have company, and am less likely to go alone.

Tanya, that roast was wonderful! We loved it. It made the apartment smell so good! It is going to become a regular thing for us I think! Thank you so very much! We had it with rice and roast brussel sprouts. Delicious!
