Sunday
We had a wonderful Fall day on Sunday. I finally got all the Halloween decorations up (with Mike's help).
After Logan had a 3 hour power nap we headed out to one of the local pumpkin patch/corn mazes. Everything at the farm screamed FALL!! They had kettle corn, apple cider, a petting zoo, hay rides, a HUGE pumpkin patch, and a corn maze. When we arrived we went on the hay ride to get out to the corn maze. Logan was not too sure about the ride at first. He just sat on Mike's lap and was very quiet. The corn maze was made to look like the state of Washington so you could (if you wanted) visit every town in the state. They gave us a little map that showed the routes we could take. They even had "highways" set up within the maze. We began in the eastern part of the state and ended up by the ocean. It was a lot of fun! After the maze we went to the pumpkin patch - Logan got such a kick out of all the pumpkins. After the pumpkin patch we visited the petting zoo. I think Logan would have stayed there all day if we had let him! They had chickens, bunnies, kittens (up for adoption), pigs, and sheep. Logan adored the bunnies. He decided to just sit on the ground right next to them. They even moved close enough so that he was able to pet them through the cage. I think we might have to make a return trip to The Farm since the munchkin had such a wonderful time.

Ooooooooh, it looks like you guys had so much fun. And don't you love winter baby clothes? Turtle necks! I haven't had a chance to dress Scooter in turtle necks yet here--it's been too hot! But it's around the corner. :)
How's teething going at your house? We finally got the bottom two eye teeth pushed through--that took FOREVER. And lots of MOTRIN. :S :) We've got molars, and then we start again with Baby Emily in a matter of months... Never ending! :)
What a great day you had Tanya! He is such a cutie! Those cheeks!
Have a great day!

So fun! I have to get out to that corn maze! My kids would probably really get into that visit the cities thing.
Are you free on Wed Oct 25th? Claire and I are free in the morning...this week and next are busy and full, but that week would be more open.
Have a good day!

want an awesome outing - kids love those kinds of adventures - and your halloween decor looks great...
we dug one of our trunks out - it's sitting in our living room - all these costumes - JR's having fun traipsing around the house with a giant baby soother - she has this thing for soothers whenever she finds them - it's like L whenever he finds a toy gun.
But alas, our howling ghost has gone MIA - we think he inadvertently got stuck in with our longer-term off-site storage stuff - oh well.
What is Logan going to be this year?
I don't think I can make the 25th :( - it's early dismissal day at school so I probably wouldn't make it back here in time.
I may have to treat the kids to a corn maze day tomorrow - grand idea!
I still want to check out that Stocker Farm one.
Cheers!
OOoh - I really can't wait for this weekend now. We are supposed to take our boy to a pumpkin patch with some similar things. Logan looks too curious with those bunnies!
Oh and another friend of mine had the problems you did with msn - not seeing pictures and not being able to update. It had something to do with purging cookies or stored images - something like that - and now she is back to normal. I would have to say that I like the blogger platform a lot better though.
Any updates on the strike?
9-11 might work - the kids get out shortly thereafter but it's probably workable.
let me give that some thought - thx!
