17 Weeks
I had my 17 week check-up today. Even though I'm only 17 weeks along I cannot believe that I'm already 17 weeks along. Make any sense?
The check-up went fine. My bp is still good and I've gained 1 lb. now. It's amazing how much tighter my jeans are feeling because of one-flippin'-pound! The heartbeat was strong at 153 bpm - doctor is still thinking a girl. I did mention to him the fact that I've been having quite a few headaches (2-3 a week). I hadn't been taking anything to try to ease them - just drinking lots of water. He did say though that I could have 1000 mg of Tylenol at once but not to exceed 2500-3000 mg in a day. He also said if the symptoms change or worsen that he might want to consult a specialist. It seems like I've traded morning sickness for headaches this time around :)
We'll get to have an ultrasound next visit (April 25) - hopefully the little one will cooperate. It took us 2 or 3 times before Logan "showed" himself.

17 weeks already?! That's almost 1/2 way!
That last part of my PG I was getting MAJOR headaches. It was terrible and I've never had a headache like them since. Even Tylenol wouldn't help. I didn't drink any caffeine thru out the whole pregnacy, so I knew it wasn't withdrawl. Anyway, Tylenol didn't help so the nurse told me to drink something with caffeine in it because caffeine constricts the blood cells or vessels or something like that and something with being pregnant and the increased blood flow in your body. Sure enough... it cured me!! So, I ended up drinking a little caffeine for the last month of my PG... just to get rid of the gawd afwul head pounding terrible headaches I was getting.
OK, sorry that got a little long... you just reminded me of my last month of PG hell!! I had a simple, uneventful, morning sickness free pregancy up until then! :)
Anyway, I am super happy to hear that all is going great :) April 25th will be here before you know it :)
It's great news that you're doing so well!
My migraines intensified during my pregnancies, and I eventually got relaxation & biofeedback training to try and help them without medication. Over the counter meds didn't touch them, and the doctor wanted me to limit any narcotic pain relievers as much as possible.
Good luck getting through them, I hope some of the things you try work for you.
Ugh, I've got a headache right this minute. :) And I'm COLD! And I can't wait for outside park pictures!!
I found THIS (http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/baby-ticker) on a friend's blog--YOU NEED IT! :D
Only one pound! Wow.... I am so glad it went well. I don't know about you but this is fying by for me. :)
I can't believe you're 17 wks already! People would tell me it seemed like it was going by fast for them cause they weren't the ones pg and now I know what they mean :)
Hope your headaches go away!
When I was preggers with Jenna I was having frequent headaches, upwards of 4/week. My solution? A chocolate bar everyday. Seriously. Headaches dropped to around 2/week. Sure I gained a bit more weight but if that meant I was more functional instead of having energy-draining headaches every-other day, fine.
