Works For Me
I'm sure alot of Moms already know this tip but you might need to be reminded of it. Even though Logan is only 13 months old he has a ton of toys - too many to play with all at once. So to make sure he doesn't get bored with the toys he has, we rotate them. Usually once a month. We have a photo screen in our living room that we hide the toys behind and every once in awhile we bring out "new" ones to play with. Just last night I rotated out his toys and when he woke up this morning and saw all the "new" things he was in heaven. He's been playing with them all day!! Works for me. :)

We do this! In fact, tonight as I was putting Snuggle Bug to bed, he looked over and saw his closet door open. Inside the closet he saw a car, still in it's box, that I had stashed away. He said, "Car!" and wanted me to get it out for him to play with. Needless to say he didn't get the car at that moment, but I'll bring it out for him soon. :)
Thanks for your comment on my WFMW list of age appropriate children’s chores post! I'll email you that list later today. Unfortunately I left it on my work laptop and I'm at home right now. :)
That's a very clever idea. It would sure make toys last longer, that's for sure! I wish we had the storage space to effectively do this!
Soooo goood! While I talk a good talk, I haven't actually DONE this completely yet... I pulled out one of the old bins of toys last night (the ones I thought were too "grown-up" for Scooter at the time) and he was in AWE of the Bob the Builder doll/backpack--he wouldn't let it go! In fact, I think he may be sleeping with it... lol I bought a new clear plastic bin last night (for size 2T clothes...) so I have 1-2 extras leftover to dedicate to toys. How many toys are you actually leaving OUT? Are you leaving any staples that never hide behind the screen? :D
Hey thank-you for stopping by my space, I haven't been around much lately but next week things should get back to normal, so hoping to blog and comment more then :)
Have a great day, and sure wish I could see the little one dance to that song, I love it when they "dance"

I try to do this as well..but sometimes he catches me hiding the tpys and then gets mad at me!!! LOL
I hope you have a GREAT time with the girls and hope you take pics to share. Tell them all I wish I was there and give them hugs from me!!! :)
I'm getting set to do this as well. My 13 month old enjoys dumping all the toys on the floor and then crawling off to raid the computer or the DVD rack. Thanks for the tip!
Excellent reminder!
