Water Everywhere!!
Here are the promised photos:
This is the park by the river. The white fence is the border of the parking lot.
The river on the edge of town. Usually you can see sandbars scattered throughout the river.
One of the roads outside of town. It is completely covered with water. To the left of the photo is a house - the water is right up to their porch. There are also houses past this spot on the road. Yesterday when Logan & I were out for a drive we saw people walking through this area to get to their vehicles on the other side.

Oh my - please stay dry! (Oooh - that sounded all dumb and rhymey and what not!).
That water is amazing! I'm glad you live up on a hill too. We are finally getting a little bit of fall weather today, it had been in the 70's this week until today. Hopefully one of these days we'll get some snow (and I won't have to drive in it!) Anyway, hope you guys have a good day Tanya- hope it starts to dry out a little soon!

We have a break today, but tomorrow it is supposed to pour again tomorrow and through the weekend. I have fire in the fireplace to take the chill off.
Hugs,
Becca
Yikes, that's a bit too much water for my comfort. I hope you can manage to stay dry! :)
Thanks for your comment on my Slow Cooking Thursday corn chowder recipe post. I do appreciate it!
I hope you family likes it if you do make it for dinner tonight. :)
Good gracious! So much water!! I'm so glad we're not in a flooding area! Actually--Jonathan told me that not one of the lakes in Georgia is natural--they're all manmade as part of the Depression area work projects! So they all have drains on them (as far as I know) where you can control the level of the lake.
Did you end up making Overwhelmed!'s corn chowder??? I found a recipe on Allrecipes.com that we were going to have last night, but neither Jonathan nor I were very hungry, so we finished up the leftover tomato soup we had had the night before (just the canned stuff, not from scratch). So we'll probably have the chowder tomorrow. Mmmmmmmmmm. :)
My, that's a lot of water. I hope you are staying dry!!
Sorry about all the rain!!!
How the Santa letter writing going??
It was so great to meet lil man today....what a total cutie and so amazingly easy going.
He just took it all in stride...
I finally got on the spa website today - I wish you could scratch and sniff online - anyways I will for sure order some of the orange citrus body wash even if I don't make it next weekend. I'll let you know - re: hubby's Sat work schedule and LZo's Nutcracker sched.
Cheers -
